The $462 million Foxwoods Casino Expansion project covered over 2 million sq ft of area. With the project located over 300 miles from C.Abbonizio’s headquarters, a fully equipped field office included wireless connectivity to the company’s main computer systems. Site Development required extensive rock blasting and on-site crushing. Site work included constructing large block double Retaining Walls exceeding 25 feet high. Utility Services included installation of Water, Sewer, and Storm Mains. Other construction services included Granite and Concrete Curb, Stamped Concrete, Intersection Signalization, Paving, Bridge Railing and Wood Guide rails. All work was subject to review and approval by the Pequot Tribal Nation. |

| Harrah’s site includes a 100,000 SF gaming hall and horse race track. The riverfront site construction included special headwalls with tide gates to prevent the inflow of tidal waters. Track construction included importing 12,000 tons of screening, from Maryland, and 42,000 SY Geo-textile was placed under the track. Construction included installation of drainage, sewers, water mains, two meter-pits, two pump-stations, several underground bores, design and installation of in river environmental turtle floats, paving and striping and 720,000 SF of hydro seeding. Harrah’s Grand Opening took place as scheduled thanks to C.Abbonizio’s timely project completion. |

Thunderbolt Raceway, a $100 million dollar project, was developed over a 700-acre site in Millville, NJ. C Abbonizio was responsible for the design and build-out of an 11,000 SF Sound Wall exceeding 20 Feet in height. C.Abbonizio also designed and constructed two 80-foot Bridges over the new raceway as well as 3,100 LF of Barrier Walls in the racetrack pits. The project included utility construction of 2,000 FT of 84” CMP, 11,000 FT of HDPE Pipe, 111 Manholes, Inlets, and Headwalls, 11,000 FT of Water Main and 12,000 FT of Sewer Main. |
